Experiential

My experience in live events goes back to my time working in the entertainment industry, where I not only promoted my own shows as a stand-up but also produced shows for others acts at the Edinburgh Festival.

For several years I booked and promoted Red in the Face comedy at venues in London and the South East, in iconic bars, members clubs and even ad agencies. Many comedians who have become household names played their first headline spots at our flagship night on Soho Square. I also managed comedy talent.

Since moving into advertising I’ve created a number of high-profile experiential campaigns.

Stopover Buddies

To make the most of a stopover in Iceland while flying between the US and Europe on Icelandair, we created the innovative Stopover Buddies program. This matched up travellers with Icelanders (many of whom were Icelandair employees) who have similar interests, from glacier climbing to museum-hopping, and arranged for them to hang out together and get to experience real local culture like never before.

Ahead of Time

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Icelandair we created the world’s first in-flight immersive theatre experience, which took place on a flight from London to New York via Reykjavik. The story included eccentric travellers from across the decades, space-age flight attendants and a full swing band all of whom entertained journalists, influencers and passengers lucky enough to have tickets for this unique event.

Early Days Club

How do you do experiential when no one can leave the house? During lockdown, when new parents were denied their regular IRL support networks, we created Early Days Club, a virtual platform where they could connect with other parents. As part of this I produced a live and interactive show, selecting and briefing talent then overseeing the show and co-ordinating with the host in real time to guide this online event.
