My book Reading The Room: The Inside Story of UK Stand-Up in the 21st Century was published in 2026. It’s a deep dive into the comedians, clubs and culture that have shaped British stand-up.
I interviewed over fifty people in the comedy industry including comics, promoters, producers, agents, PRs, journalists and academics. The book is based on their stories and what they tell us not just about stand-up but about modern Britain.

As a stand-up, I spent years writing my own material for things like my solo show at the Edinburgh Festival. After moving into management I helped build a brand of live comedy nights which ran across London.
